Oneof my coworkers showed me Dr. Sears' book on the Omega fats. Since I have Parkinsons disease she thought I sould read the chapter on it. I am interested but not clear on the amount of capsules I would have to take each day. Is there anyone out there with experience??

    Thanks,
    Susan

I'd suggest, for some expert advice, you might try calling Zone Labs or submitting a qn to "Ask Dr Sears" on Barry Sears' other website, drsears.com

    Dear Susan
You should take fish oil (amount depends on your state in this disease and your personal health) but you also should go on Zone Diet so atrictly as you can.

The amount of fish oil is variable in Parkinson disease (if one person is in the disease´s begining..). Normally in these kind of disorders the amount is a little high (never less than 5-7'5gr of fish oil every day)

For Parkinson's Disease, Dr. Sears suggest you take 10+ grams on ultra-refined Fish oil per day.
Of course don't start taking it all at once because it will pass straight through your body and you can have some pretty bad side effects. First start off with the maintenance dose of 2.5 grams and slowly work your way up, changing your dose every 3 to 5 days...
