I am beginning a program using only the Zone products, that is, shakes, bars and including the supplements. I do not intend to prepare meals; etc. Has anyone else tried this? |

I have been trying to do this for the last couple of months. It's not too bad but every once in a while I need to chew real food. It's not a craving just a need to feel something chewier between my teeth. Get the cereal that is sold on this site. I find it a refreshing change from the shakes and bars. Mike |

This is my exact same question. Any luck thus far? I dont have time to prepare meals and need to be able to do ALOT of meal replacements through the bars, and shakes. Maybe a dinner here and there. Is this working for you? |

hello. I am also curious about this question. as i ordered a bunch of shakes and bars and will try to stick to those mostly once they arrive. but i also wanted to share that there are zone frozen meals, endorsed by dr. sears, you can buy at ralphs (all organic also). they take the thinking and cooking out of it. and they are really pretty good. |

As a nutritionist, I would strongly suggest that you incorporate real food into your diet, especially veggies and fruit. The Zone Diet is not just about losing fat, it's also about improving health and performance. There are thousands of phytonutrients available in real food that cannot be replicated in a bar or powder; these nutrients are essential for cellular health and are critical for warding off the potentialities for disease. If you dislike these things, consider shakes or veggie drinks as a complement to your prepared Zone foods. |

I totally agree with miriam. Natural sources of vitamins minerals antioxidants like polifenols.. are critical for optimal health. I use Zone bars here in Spain sometimes but I obtain time as I can for eating fresh fruits, cook vegetables, salmon, turkey using microwave in 2 minutes.. and spanish extra virgin olive oil hehe Greetings from Mediterranean Sea |

Zone bars and shakes are a great way to supplement for meals and snacks, but remember just like Miriam said; you need to also supplement your body with fruits and vegetables every now and then. Try not to make your diet 100% substitutes and take the time to have at least one of your meals a healthy Zone meal. Health is a very big issue as far as loosing weight goes. YCG |
