Hi.I am a professional soccer player from Greece and would like to ask some things...1)What is the dosage of EicoPro for a professional athlete ?Is it as written,a teaspoon twice a day?
Below is a question-answer from Dr Sears

"Q. Do athletes require more GLA than the 1 to 2 mg recommended in your books? If so how much or how do you determine how much?

    A. Yes, but only if they increase their levels of EPA correspondingly. I usually recommend 50 times more EPA than GLA. Furthermore, they should cycle the GLA so that they don't exceed 60 mg/day during the first month, drop to 30 mg/day for the second month, and decrease their intake to 15 mg/day during the third month. Beginning with the fourth month, they should go back to 60 mg/day, and repeat the cycle."
So,if you follow these instructions about cycling the dosage, how can this be made only by food?I think that the recmmended daily dosage of GLA is 2 mg,and is found in 2/3 of wheat seed boiled. How will I be eble to intake all this amount? Is there a GLA supplement?
Any help from sbdy would mean a lot.
    Thanks in advance

    Hi Apostolos,
Dr. Sears’s comments were based on supplementation with GLA capsules. GLA is a component of borage and evening primrose. If you were to supplement based on Dr. Sears response be sure to consult daily with the Eicosanoid Status Report: http://drsears.com/eicosanoidstatusreport.page
Consuming 1 1/3 cups of oatmeal per day would only provide you with trace amounts of GLA. Elite athletes such as you will require more; see “Omega Rx Zone,” Chapter 18 “How to Build a Better Athlete.”
The EicoPro liquid is an excellent product to enhance athletic performance.
Here are a couple of healthcare professionals in Greece. Hope this helps.

At first I would like to thank you for your immediate answer.
I have to admit that I have not bought the book about OmegaRx zone yet,but I am going to do this tommorow...
As I can see,the amount of oatmeal I am currently consuming is ridiculous in comparison with the amounts I really need...
So,I will have to go and buy it first, and then make my remarks...
    Thanks a lot..
