My wife has been shopping around for the occasional tasty, low carb (yes most are unfav) bread.
In our local stores (NH (& Boston, MA area) she has found a brand that is very good: Jodeph's (Lawrence, MA).
Their Pita's, only 4" :cry:, were only about 1-1/2 blocks.
Not great :oops:, but not real bad for an [b:ca32497b51]occasional[/b:ca32497b51] lunchtime sandwhich.
:arrow: [u:ca32497b51]Well, now they've come out with a 6" oatbran & wheat Pita with only 2 g carbs per ea whole pita[/color:ca32497b51][/size:ca32497b51][/u:ca32497b51] :!:
(And a block of protein, to boot, though the protein is probably bound up and unuseable?) [/size:ca32497b51]
P = 7 g
C = 2 g (18 g - 16 g fiber, 0 g Sugars ==> Net 2 g C)
F = 0 g [/size:ca32497b51]

WOW. Thanks for the info. I have never heard of that brand. I will start looking around my area to see if they sell it. |

Hi,
If the P is from soy (see ingredients on the label) it would be counted. Otherwise it would be disregarded.

In this case one would not count the P.
