Hello everybody! I`m a professional latin-american dancer, and I`m enjoing Zone benefits at the moment:) However, even though I find Zone amazing and compatible to live with,I have to go out of Zone for once a week....And not by overeating but not eating enough, cause approximately once a week I have a competition in halls in which you [b:a248ee15ea]mustn`t bring food[/b:a248ee15ea]. Dancers got used to it already,as we usually have a large breakfast in the morning, and don`t even notice hunger throughout the day. Is going out of Zone for once a week too much for a Zoner??? :? P.S.What does actually happen when one starves....The bloodsugar is too low,and so is the insulin.....why is that bad??

Just a guess, but the books say you are never more than one meal away from the Zone. For most it means if you've overindulged in carbs, make the next meal balanced in the zone. For missing a meal, I'm not sure what the problem might be. Theoretically, missing meals leads to muscle wasting as the body starts catabolizing muscle for the protein. That's not so good for an athlete or dancer. Personally, missing a meal triggers the urge to overeat too much carbohydrate. So knowing my weakness, I try to not miss a meal. I keep Zone bars in my desk in case I have to miss a meal. Zone bars may not be the best nutrition but they're safer than getting so hungry that I pig out at the next meal.

Zone bars would be a great solution, though I live in Croatia, and we don`t have Zone bars around at all.And ordering would be a little bit too expensive at the moment :? Thanks for the reply
