5-35-60 vs. 40-30-30
No signficant difference in fat loss after six weeks, but worsening plasma phosphilipid AA:EPA in the ketogenic group. |

Ahh....
Cool info. Thanks for posting that Scott.
I'm hanging on to this one for future reference.
I haven't read the article yet, but for starters I'm thinking about the impact that the publication of this finding could have on the Atkins Diet.[/color:0c70c31533] |

It would be interesting to see the types of fat that comprised the ketogenic group. |

Yes it would be. My first thoughts ran to an Atkins-like diet, with a high consumption of fatty animal products, which would be high in sautrated fat of course, but I suppose the group on the 5-35-60 diet could have just as well been eating lean or fat free proteins and supplementing with any type(s) of fat to acheive those percentages.[/color:9232a935a3] |

I was curious as to whether an omega-6/omega-3 imbalance gave rise to the worsening AA/EPA status or whether it was the significant ketogenic process. |
