Is it possible to stay in the zone (as determined by Dr. Sears' hormonal chart on this site) but not be eating the right amount of protein? Either too little or too much. How could one tell? If this has already been discussed, I'd appreciate a reference. I looked but haven't read everything. Thank you! Linda in MA

The fat looks much too high. 40 grams of fat is more like what I eat for the day. I think for the meal you're describing it would be closer to 10 grams of fat. Nevertheless, the question remains: is it possible to be in the zone (according to how one feels as in Dr. Sears' hormonal chart), and be consuming too little or too much protein? Hopefully somebody will have some ideas! Linda in MA

It's all explained in there and the appendix contains the actual tables of factors as well as the method used to determine daily protein requirement. While the average woman requires 77g P per day (11 blocks) that varies depending on LBM and activity level. I happen to need 13 to 14 blocks a day (I'm 5' 7 1/2" with a higher than average activity level and LBM).[/color:ad9c406ed5]
