Hi, My wife and I are looking to get away for 7 days and would like to go to a health spa or resort that serves "zone" meals and offers exercise classes. Does anyone know of such a place?

A really wonderful place is Miraval in Tucson. The meals are buffet morning and lunch with some served specials, and dinners are served. You can easily eat Zoned meals there all the time, the food is predominantly organic, but all healthy. There is also a cafe open most of the day into the early evening for your snacks, they makes smoothies, wonderful DECAF coffee and teas, small cookies made with prune paste and NO sugar, in the afternoon, and bottled water everywhere! And there is a lot to do, or you can just kick back and be pampered. Their motto is "Life in Balance", and they are consistently rated the tops in the country. Their specialized programs are wonderful, too, especially "The Equine Experience", working with horses to learn communication skills in the mornings, groups in the afternoons, only for 3.5 days. The rest of the time is ALL yours! Spa treatments our out of this world, though it's a small spa. I've been four times, and plan to keep going each year at least once. Another good one is Two Bunch Palms, near Palm Springs, CA. There you might have a bit more trouble zoning, but there are plenty of veggies and fruits, and certain snacks are available during the day, I fully believe you could Zone it there. There are very few classes or regular activities, it is truly a place to de-stress, and you plan your own exercise. And it is small, with very few visitors. We loved it there. I think Canyon Ranch, both of them, are overrated, and are too crowded with TOO much to choose from every hour of the day. The spa is fantastic, but I didn't like so much going on I couldn't make up my mind what to do when! And too many people. I wouldn''t go back after 2 tries at each. Check into Miraval. (miravalresort.com), it's a good bet! Cheryl
