I recently started using the Dr. Sears olive oil, and have been consuming it in large amounts: about 3-4 tablespoons per day. I just now read that Sears recommends one TEASPOON per day. Whoops. The reason I've been using such large amounts is not because I'm getting zealous with the antioxidants, but rather simply because it makes boring vegetables a lot more palatable (it is actually a really good olive oil IMO). Anyway..... I'm wondering whether there is such a thing as too much? Thanks in advance

If your sole Fat is from the Dr. Sears Olive Oil, and NO other!, and if each meal is balanced P/C/F, then you are OK! And a little more than 1 Block of Fat per 1 Block of Protein is also OK, esp. a good fat like Olive Oil. However, too much Fat at all of your meals/snacks is not a ZONE meal/snack.

[/color:fa6b117109] Hi Brian, Consuming 2-3 tablespoons of Dr. Sears olive oil daily would likely: 1) improve your blood lipid profile 2) increase your anti-oxidants 3) reduced your inflammation levels and 4) increase your satiety between meals As Dr. Sears states, "Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil is considered essential support for your ZoneRx program to control silent inflammation and promote optimal heart, brain and immune function." He goes on to say, "If you want to maximize the benefits of the OmegaZone dietary program, then adding organic olive oil to your meals is an excellent health decision." 2-3 tablespoons daily is fine. We hope you find this helpful.
