    I'm looking into the diet to see how it works. I've read articles that mention "blocks". I was just curious as to what these are, how they are counted, and how many a person can have per day.

Please check the body fat calculator on the main site. White Light

    So for me, my body fat calculator tells me

    Body Fat %: 23.13
    Body Fat Weight (lbs): 32.38
    Lean Body Mass (lbs): 107.62
    Daily Protein Requirement (g): 77.00
    or # of Blocks of Protein: 11
    # of Blocks of Carbohydrate: 11
    # of Blocks of Fat: 11

    I can eat 1100 calories per day.
    carb = 9g*11 = 99g carb
    protein = 7g*11 = 77g protein (consistent with what it says above)
    fat = 3g*11 = 33 g fat

    Does anyone know the nutritional info for the 7 day meal planner on the main Eating page? How many blocks does that target?

    Do people use this block business as a means of counting similar to WW's points? My breakfast was 3 blocks, I have 8 more blocks on the day?

    Hi Stephanie,

    The 7 day meal planner for women is based on 11 blocks. Remember that you'd add two 1 block snacks to your day, one of them at bedtime. The meals shown in the women's planner each contain 3 blocks. For those with a dessert, the dessert is included in the 3 blocks.

    I'm not familiar with how Weight Watcher's works.

    If you require 11 blocks a day and you ate a 3 block breakfast, then yes, you would have 8 blocks left for the day. Your remaining blocks should be spread throughout the day being sure to follow the Zone rules.
