Hello Pals -
Can you tell me where to get Whey Protein powder around here? I looked in the health food section at Woodman's yesterday but couldn't find any. Unless I didn't know what I was looking for...? What about stevia and sucralose, too?
Thanks, guys, for your help!

Hi! Good to hear from you again!
I recently got lucky, as Woodman's had one of those "bargain carts" with whey protein powder (vanilla and chocolate) for only $3.79 a can, but I don't know where it came from because I haven't seen it in that form there before. It is tasty stuff.
I think they may have some in the Health food isle, on the checkout lane end on the produce side near the top. There is a line of protein powders there that are in bags, sort of like coffee bags. They are pretty pricey at $15.00 a bag (I haven't tried them!) . They are fairly near the Atkins stuff.
You could also check at Whole Foods. I know that they have them, but they are also more expensive than the soy protein powder.
Perhaps GNC would--they have a store in Market Square on Odana, and I think they may now have a store in West Towne mall.
I should've grabbed a can of the bargain stuff for you! If I remember, I'll ask Woodman's to carry that brand--great price, good product.
Did you get my email? The thing I was going to send is an itemized grocery list for Woodman's (all Zone-friendly) that I did on the computer in an Excel file. I print it out, and circle the things we need to get. It's in the order that I travel through the store so it makes it pretty easy. Let me know if you want a copy--we're leaving one on the fridge and circling when we run low on things. Works slick!
Have a great Friday! (T.G.I!!!!)

Hi Ladies!
Re: whey protein powder, I usually get mine at Vitamin World in East Towne Mall right near the food court. They have a Pure Whey Protein powder (no flavor/no extra carbs) (Vitamin World Brand) in quite a large container. I'm not sure of the ounces but it seems to last me about 6 months. It's 22grams of protein per scoop and the container is somewhere around $18-20. ( If you become a "member" (no charge to become a member), you get a discount). I have also seen protein powder (whey/soy/ choc./vanilla) at Woodmans-East on the bottom shelf down below the balance bars....a few brands available. I haven't tried the bagged kind yet. I have the "Designer" brand, (I think it's called) of the chocolate whey powder which I've used in recipes and seems to work fine.
I've bought splenda and fructose at Woodmans. It's usually with the other sugar type things in the baking isle. They also have more of a bulk fructose in the natural foods area. I'm not sure about stevia or sucralose... Or is sucralose the other name for Splenda? I don't remember... I'll have to look that up.
Ronica, I would love to get a copy of your Woodman's excel shopping list. Could you please try e-mailing it to me? My e-mail is avail through this site. I'll also try to e-mail you again directly and put my name and the name starz in the subject line, K?
Good to hear from you both...
