Hi everyone!
I have Chron's disease which is a chronic inflammatory condition of the bowel. Unfortunately there is no cure and I am on a chemotherapy drug to treat it. Unfortunately, I have not felt any difference and I feel discomfort all day everyday! My last resort is going to be a complete diet change. As it is I eat healthy but I would like to try a different approach and found the zone diet.
My question is, are there any Inflammatory Bowel Disease sufferers who have adapted to the zone diet? Does it work???
Your input will be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!
Sue

Here are the results of a search of this site for Chron's. Maybe you'll find some helpful info.

Chron's disease has been linked to consumption of grains .. as has most inflammatory disease .... if I consume any I get massive bloating and I dont know how to put this nicely ..bleeding from the back passage :/

Taryn, I would also add support to Simon's comment about the grain issue and Crohn's disease. Many Crohn's sufferers are finding out that they have a wheat intolerance, sometimes even being diagnosed with Celiac dx as the underlying problem. Steer clear of grains, and keep your diet pure, very little additives, minimally processed.
