    We have been fortunate!
Only the coastal areas of New Hampshire had been affected, and those no where near as much as it could have been, or not even close to the devastation in my native state of New Jersey!
In Nashua, inland about 60 miles, just some wind, hardly anyone, except maybe in neighboring Hudson lost any power.
Fortunately, I had not had an opportunity to try out our new portable generator.
Purchased after last years Snow-Tober winter snow storm, just about one year ago.
Only time in 12 years living here in Nashua, NH we lost power, and that was for a week.
And with $1500.00 of organic Grass-Fed side of Beef and about a dozen Pastured frozen chickens,
did not want to lose the investment, so we purchased a small 5500 Watt portable generator.
    Thx for asking ...

I'm in Maryland this week. We had wind and about a foot of rain here, but all's well. A huge tree uprooted a few houses down the street. Our house in CT is fine too, and although 20% of our town is still without power, our house never lost it. My husband is sort of stranded on Philadelphia at the moment, and my daughter in NYC is fine but working from home with no way to get to work. We were also in MD last Oct when storm Alfred hit ( our daughter and he family live here). We arrived home to a large tree on our house, a freezer full of thawed food and 8 days without power, so we were a bit freaked out when we heard Sandy was coming almost 1 yr to the day. How are things where you live, Katie?
