I am looking for an easy way out to balance my blocks with protein without adding meat or cheese.

If I buy the Zone Protein Powder can I use one scoop of powder to replace one block of protein, or it's not that easy. The other protein powder I investigated are flavored or are not pure protein.

Also buying Dr Sears Zone bar, can I used them as already balanced blocks of protein/carbohydrate/fat.

Use them as snack whenever I am not home or do not know what to grab at the time.

By now you must realize I am new to the zone.

I am borderline diabetic and I need to get back on track with silent inflamation. Yes I am already using the Omega 3 and Polyphenols.

Thanks for any help you can send my way.

    Hi Serge!

Yes, one scoop Dr. Sears Zone Protein Powder is 1 block of protein, and the bars are ready to eat balanced P, C and F (2 balanced blocks per each bar; that's 2P, 2C, and 2F). As with most protein powders, when eating Dr. Sears Zone Protein Powder you should double the fat blocks you add for every block used.

Here's some helpful fat info: The block method takes into account that half (1.5 g) of the 3 grams fat needed for balance is hidden in your protein choice. The other half (another 1.5 g) is in the added fat block. For every block of fat free protein you eat you would add 1 extra monounsaturated fat block in order to get the full 3 grams of fat needed in every completely balanced block of P, C and F.

I eat four 1 block snacks a day.

What about using half a Dr Sears bar(2 blocks) for a balance 1 block snack.

Are all the ingredients balanced throughout the bar. In other words is one half the same as the other half.

    Thanks

    Hi Serge!

Yes, that would be perfectly fine to do. You can also eat 2 bars to replace a 4 block meal, 1 1/2 bars to replace a 3 block meal. They are completely balanced in regard to P, C and F and have been engineered to provide insulin control.

You can read more info about them in the article at this address:

    This is the actual article:

<<<New Zone Bar flavors feature new technology
Dr. Sears has developed four new Zone Bar flavors based on his Controlled Release Nutrition™ technology to stabilize blood sugar and to control hunger throughout the day.

What makes these bars unique is the newest technology that is incorporated in them. All of these bars use only pure fructose syrup as a binding agent. Unlike high-fructose corn syrup, which has been the only binding agent available in the past, this new technology gives rise to a much lower glycemic load. What this means to you is greater satiation and more sustained freedom from hunger.

In addition, two of the bars use a totally new crisp technology that dramatically improves blood glucose stabilization. Before the development of this technology, Dr. Sears was not going to associate his name with the markedly inferior blood glucose response of traditional crisps used in standard bars. You are not going to find these new technology developments in standard mass-market bars because it is too costly. However, at Zone Labs our mission is to provide the state-of-art nutrition products to help you stay in the Zone. This is Dr. Sears’ guarantee to you. These new bars will demonstrate that sophisticated nutrient delivery and great taste can go together.

Here is a short summary of the new Zone Bar flavors that will help you stay In the Zone with even greater ease than before. The bars will be available later this month.

    Apple Cinnamon
A great partnering of apple and cinnamon for the combination of fruitiness and fragrant spice in a crispy bar.

    Iced Oatmeal Raisin
Tastes as wholesome and delicious as a baked oatmeal cookie filled with nutritious raisins.

    Sweet and Salty Nut Crunch
Satisfy your salt craving with an ideal fusion of savory nuts and the sweetness of honey in a crispy bar.

    Cocoa Crisp
Indulge yourself with a heavenly blend of rich, flavorful chocolate and crispies.>>>

How many Zone bars are there in a box? How many in the snack size box? How many servings in 1 jar of Protein Powder?
