Hi Monica, I wish I had known at the start which balance of protein and carbohydrate works best for me, but that can really only be dryermined through trial and error. Some important things to keep in mind are avoid omega 6 fats as much as possible, eat liots of non-starchy vegetables and drink lots of water. |

A super easy breakfast is to mix 3 teaspoons of unsweetened peanut butter and some vanilla extract into 1 1/2 cups plain low fat yogurt (3 block meal). Another one is a smoothie made by blending 1 bag of frozenixrd berries with 4 scoops Zone protein powder and 1 Tablespoon olive oil. |

Good question! My " go-to" breakfast is a strawberry smoothie, which is frozen strawberries blended with yogurt, cottage cheese, and olive oil. If I have plain or vanilla protein powder, I blend it in, too. I lose weight pretty Slow, and it takes a bit of determination on my part to stick with it. I know it works best for me, but like most people, I want immediate results. I wish I had realized a long time ago that I could gain it back so easily by not sticking with it. So, each day I do have to remind myself to make it a good day in the zone, because the alternative is just not acceptable! |

Monica - I find this easy (just make up the bacon at the start of the week) 1/2 cup Easy Egg Beaters (or other Egg substitute) (2 blocks protein) 1 teaspoon olive oil (3 blocks fat) One slice of fat free cheese 2 strips of Turkey Bacon 1 soft tortilla (2 blocks carb)
