I have been eating a low glycemic, heavy on complex carbs diet for 5 yr. now. But I decided to pull out my old copy of THE ZONE and tweak what I've been doing. This lead me to a little confusion. If I follow the calculations in the book (using the appendices) my LBW of 90 and light exercise means that I should consume 54 grams (or 8 blocks) of protein. When I enter my numbers into your on-line calculator, IT indicates I need 11 blocks. Am I missing something? Have I miss calculated? Has there been a change in the thinking of the ZONE? I want to be in the zone and therefore don't want to eat too much or too little protein. Please clarify. |
