Hi! I want to restart a Zone life style but beeing a vegetarian now seems some times not easy to find the right balance for meals and snacks.
It seems that Herbalife shakes meet the requirements for a balanced vegetarian Zone meal, and I would like to know your opinion about it. Thanks!

    Hi Lorena!

I checked the online label for French Vanilla. 3 scoops mixed with 1 cup of milk would be 3 blocks , but a bit short on fat. You could eat a couple blocks of nuts for Zone balance. The real test will be whether you're able to maintain satiety for 4 hours after this meal.

Let us know how it goes!

    Thanks for your reply Sue!.
Do you think that the missing blocks of fat may be the reason for feeling the cravings after a couple of hours again?.
These products have a lot of vitamins, don't vitamins make you feel hungry also?
    Thanks again :)

    You're welcome Lorena!

Yes, less eating than the minimum amount of fat needed for Zone balance will cause hunger and cravings. The fat in a Zone meals and snacks controls the rate at which the carbohydrates enter your blood stream. If you eat less than the minimum amount of fat required for balance you are most likely not going to be able to keep you insulin in the Zone and you'll end up hungry in a of couple hours. The types of carbs used in the product may also be contributing to your hunger.

To my knowledge vitamins themselves do not cause hunger.

    I'm glad to help! :)
