My 9 year old boxer dog was recently diagnosed with arthritis, and I want to put him on fish oil.... recently I've been splitting my 4-capsule maintainance dose with him (giving him two caps), but I wonder if I should give him more? It's kind of hard for me to know exactly what dosage gets results, but I'd just like to know where to start. He is 60lbs. Any advice would be appreciated

I probably can't be of too much help, but I am dealing with the same. 9 year old Akita, about 65lbs, showing classic EFA deficiency--allergies, pathetic coat, etc. She was the last of the litter so not unexpected. I've been giving her one cap/day-- if I see no changes I'll up it. I'll watch her mood/energy, whether she keeps scratching, check her stools--the outward eicosanoid signs.

Hi guys. See my posts under "Dogs and the zone". I've been using cod liver oil, not expensive pgfo, tho. But amounts can be extrapolated. My dog is about 85 pounds. Bob
