I am at the moment giving my daughter Omega 3 in the liquid form. I am using Tyler Eskimo 3 (will be changing to Dr. Sears once she has finnished the three bottles we have left). One teaspoon is EPA 750mg and DHA 500mg. My daughter has one teaspoon a day. Is this too much for a 5 year old or would it be ok? My wife and I are currently taking 6 caps of Dr. Sears a day divided in 2 cap doses. Also my parents are taking it. I have to say it is an amazing product! Any advice re my daughters dosages would be GREAT. Thanks

[/quote:b9907ee6f3] When you make the switch, one thing to keep in mind is that a teaspoon of OmegaRX will have 1800EPA and 900DHA for a total of 2.7g of long-chain omega-3 per tsp--its twice as concentrated as Tyler. [/quote:b9907ee6f3] We give our kids roughly 1/3 tsp of OmegaRX which would be roughly 900mg (600EPA/300DHA)--not too far from your amounts--but they currently don't take it everyday. I'll see if I can do a search on this site.

For some reason I am not getting any hits on the search for what seems to be a pretty straightforward question. I'll try again and also check the OmegaRx book. Sorry Iceman-thanks for the reminder! The search feature is not working so I reviewed the last two years of Ask DrSears. Here are a couple links: The first link (more recent) recommends 1 tsp (2.7g) The next link 1-2g (which is about 1/3 tsp to 3/4tsp.) http://www.drsears.com/drsearspages...earsID=807 http://www.drsears.com/drsearspages...earsID=671
