I'm sending this out to hopefully help anyone who has question or is wondering about this diet. Of course this is just my expierence, but I had to share. In February of this year I was topped out at my all time high weight of 271. I was visiting with some friends who had been doing the paleo diet, and gone gluten free. That same day a friend I would have never thought cared about diets put a article about gluten free on facebook. And to top it off my vodoo dr had been trying to get me to go gluten free for quite some time. I thought surely I can do this for a month. Well first week I lost 10 pounds, and it excited me so much I stuck with the diet. Dropping to about 250. Give or take 3 or 4 pounds depending on the day. Well then I started cross fit in September I think. The coach there has been excellent with helping me work on the zone diet. I bought the book and read that, researched Dr. Sears video's on youtube, read this site whenever possible, and talked with a co worker who seemed to have it figured out. Well after starting the zone my weight just has been dropping. I'm now down to about 230, and can't wait for the 220 range. Here's the magical part............the effect the zone diet had on my blood cholesterol. Over the last 10 years I have checked my cholesterol numerous times with the total number never being under 260. In fact last year my total was 268 with total triglycerides being 377. Now keep in mind this is after being on paleo diet for about 3 or 4 months. Well this week I had my cholesterol checked and my total was 206 with total triglycerides at 125. I'm astonished. Also I cause of work I haven't been able to work out for 6 weeks now. There is no doubt in my mind that the zone diet has really brought my health around!
Trying to get better every day!

Good Job, Jammy - you can do Zone as Grain-Free or just Gluten -Free.
Most favorable Carbs are grain-free, anyway.
