    Hi,

I have just started taking EicoRx and I have a few concerns:

    1. I'm planning to use up my current fish oil stock not sourced from zone before using my EicoRx. I've bought a supply of GLA to achieve the anti-inflammatory effects in the short term. I've researched the dangers of taking too much GLA and I'm worried that I'm taking too much GLA on a daily basis as is using the non zone sourced supplement. I've tried to find exactly how much GLA is in the EicoRx supplement so I could accurately tailor the dose but this information doesn't appear to be available online. Is there any way I could find this out?

    2. I've looked at the ingredients on EicoRx and there doesn't appear to be anything taken from sesame. I know that sesame lignans, especially toasted sesame lignans, are particularly effective in preventing the conversion of GLA into AA. Is it assumed that people taking EicoRx will be consuming large amounts of toasted sesame oil concurrently to achieve all the associated benefits?

    Thanks

    Hi Craig,

    1. Last I knew, Eico RX was a proprietary formula (specific amounts not divulged).

    2. No, it's not assumed they will be taking large amounts of sesame oil. If you choose to use supplemental sesame, the type you'd want for the benefit is organic toasted sesame oil. It's best kept to not more than a teaspoon or so per day.

    Craig,

I had some of the same questions as you had regarding the amounts... just my opinion but if I am going to take a supplement, I would like to know how much I am taking. I wanted to know how much GLA I was getting, but that information is not available. I finally decided to switch back off of the eicorx and go to the traditional fish oil. And, now I am taking another fish oil that has the same ratio, pharmaceutical grade, etc. Less expensive, and now I have control over the GLA issues.
