I was experimenting in the kitchen last night, attempting to make a chocolatey hot cereal using orzo. To my surprise it turned out to be a delicious "rice" pudding. I chilled it overnight and ate it for breakfast this morning.
The recipe:
Simmer a 1 serving package of Zone orzo in a mixture of 1 cup WestSoy Unsweetened Soy milk, 1 T raw cacao powder, 1/2 tsp agave syrup, cinnamon, a pinch of sea salt and almond flavoring for about 8-10 min until the orzo is cooked and the whole thing has thickened. Stir often during cooking and add a little water if it thichens before the orzo has finished cooking. Eat it warm or chill in the fridge (if you can stand the wait!). Top with plain Greek yogurt and chopped almonds.
