Swedes (rutabagas) make a very tasty veggie side. We had them last night with chicken and veggies. *********************************************************************************************** SMASHED SWEDES Peel and cut small tro medium sized swedes into chunks. Boil in water, just until tender. Drain and mash with a little bit of milk and a tiny amount of honey. Stir in a small amount of raisins. Delicious! My husband's favorite way to eat leftover smashed swedes (but certainly not my favorite way!) is to heat a bowlful in the microwave and then stir in some cottage cheese.
