I need some help from some of you experts on how to zone this meal. I think I am on the right track. Any suggestons?
1 lb lean ground beef = 16P
garlic
salt
onion salt
pepper
olive oil = add as needed if more blocks are needed after the beef.
1c onion chopped = 1C
4c cabbage = 1C
1 can stewed tomato = 2C (check label)
grated parmesan cheese (optional)
Brown meant, drain off fat. Season with garlic, onion, salt and salt and pepper to taste. In separate skillet, sauté onion in oil, add cabbage, which has been shredded. Stir occasionally. When cabbage is translucent, add tomatoes and season to taste. Add meat to cabbage. Heat thoroughly. Top with cheese.
Okay I came up with 16P, 4C and ?F (depends on the meat that is used).
Carbs could be added to the meal in the form of a salad, fruit, etc. |

Hi,
1.5 oz of ground beef equals one P block. Therefore, one lb of ground beef, which is 16 oz., would be about 11 blocks P (16 divided by 1.5 equals 10.67).

Thanks I was thinking 1oz = 1P. I should have looked at the food block list more carefully. |
