Hi Julia If you place the word smoothie in the search window on the top of our web-site you will come up with a number of recipes for smoothies. Here is one I found that sounded good. 20g of protein powder (i use the vanilla flavor) 1 cup strawberries 1 cup blueberries 4 ice cubes ( I use 1/4 cup of cold water instead) Put all ingredients into a blender and whip (or mix well). If you want it to be less thick you can add some more water.

Hi Tech Support, That recipe does sound delicious. Using the search engine! Who would have thought? Not me obviously. ;) Thank you. |

My smoothie recipe that I eat every day: 2 cups frozen strawberries 1/2 cup plain ff yogurt 1/4 cup cottage cheese 7g protein powder-plain or vanilla 2 tsp olive oil (this is my base recipe, I have made adjustments to this recipe to compensate for my carb sensitivity) |

Remember to add some fat two the recipe Tech posted. 2 or 3 teaspoons of olive oil will do it.

Here's a link to my favorite. It comes up with a search, but it appears several pages into the list. A tip, you can also switch out the cherries for a cup of frozen raspberry, or mixed berries, or cherries and berries. http://www.zonediet.com/forums/aft/61409 |

My breakfast smoothie is similar to cranberrycat's one. I use half-half frozen and fresh blueberries (1C) and 1/3 banana (1C). My fat blocks come from ca 15g peanut butter, and I also add a generous teaspoon of cacao powder, a bit of turmeric (curcuma) and cinnamon |

I love this one. Thanks for sharing. I also liked the fat ration you use. How did you decide that is what you need? I am using the zone to help with an auto-immune problem. I did that 10 years ago and it really helped. I guess it was in remission until now, but it has reared it's ugly head again, so back to the zone and other things I did then. Smoothies sure will help make it not so daunting to do. Thanks again, Sunny |

Hi Sunny! Here's another smoothie idea, that you night remember from the past, Dr. Sears Big Brain Shake: Blend 1 bag of frozen mixed berries with 3 or 4 scoops Zone Protein Powder and 1 Tablespoon liquid Omega Rx. Add water if needed for ease of blending, but keep it on the thick side. Hope you're feeling better soon!
