Just to recap, I have been participating in the National Bike Challenge since May. Wisconsin participated in the first challenge last year, and it was a big hit. This year, the challenge went national. Bikers from across the country recorded over 12 million miles during the 4 months of the challenge. In Wisconsin alone, bikers recorded 2 million miles. My personal goal was to record 1000 miles in the 4 month challenge. I ended up falling short of my goal by just 17 miles. So, will set this goal for next year. I actually have gone well over the mark if counting the previous months rides. I hope that September and October continue to bring really nice biking weather! |

Congrats and good for you!!! Just think if you are only 17 miles short - how many miles you would have done without your setback. You might not have actually physically made it- but you made it! |

No kidding! I participated last year, and I recorded just over 800 miles throughout the season, so to be well over that mark and still have a few months left for biking is really neat! My employer participated, and I was only beat out by one person at work in total miles, and it was a guy who is probably 15 years younger than me and is very athletic-appearing. LOL! |
