Zone/Paleo

    I have been following the Zone with much success for the past year,however I recently started taking up Crossfit and it seems many plus the Paleo diet. The main difference to me being they don't consume grains or dairy. It also seem they up the fats block a bit more. Can anyone explain to me that has switched over to eating Paleo the main benefits?

    trixie, I don't eat specifically the Paleo diet, but I eat very little dairy (a little yogurt, and some goat cheese, now and then; also Zone protein powder, though I wouldn't really consider it as dairy), even less grain than my infrequent dairy consumption, and I add extra monounsturated fat to my meals.

    I don't do Paleo but if you're doing CrossFit you'd better head on over to these two forums, which I visit everyday for insight and just to "hang"

    They'll be able to explain the benefits of the paleo over (if possible) the Zone, although you should know that recently Dr. Sears explained that the Paleo is a good way to go, inside the Zone Block balance. As you should also know upping the fat intake is for energy.
