I’m a runner & I’ve been following the Zone program for 15 days, but I am not “In The Zone.” During the middle of the day I am [b:84ab7388dd]always [/b:84ab7388dd]hungry (not after dinner). I have lost 7 pounds, but I did not want to lose [b:84ab7388dd]any [/b:84ab7388dd]weight! If I lose anymore weight I will have to go off the Zone. I am a small man, but I have now boosted my blocks to 16 per day (online calculator tells me to eat 14 blocks) & doubled my fat (lots of peanuts). I am not just craving carbs, I am craving food! I am taking the supplements (health food store fish oil, can’t afford pharmaceutical grade) and I know the “hungry” rules (if hungry & focused, increase carbs; if hungry & dull, decrease carbs). I run hard, but only 3 or 4 times a week. Any help available? |

I tend to increase my blocks on days I workout intensely opposed to the days I do not workout or only very lightly.
Do you also feel hungry on your non-workout days?
Maybe it helps if you post a few examples of your daily breakfast, lunch, dinner and snacks and the type of workout you perform? |

You say you lost 7 lbs in 15 days yet did not need to lose any.
This is a sure sign you are calorie deficient. While Protein is fixed (Per your block allocation) carbs are variable (.5 to 1 ratio with protein ) and fat is very variable.
Correct zone advise is to increase monounsaturated fat to maintain correct body fat %
Re the Health grade FO please check the cost for effective omega 3's of your product against the prices at www.pgfo.com I generally find that health grade is actually more expensive than Pharmacutical grade when you understand how much omega 3 is in each
