Hi everyone,  I am very new to the Zone and I was wondering if anyone has any tips on how to make/keep guacamole fresh for more than just a day.  I would appreciate any help, thanks!

I usually buy it pre-made, but I imagine that if you use some lemon juice to mix in with it, maybe that would help... just a suggestion, not based on experience!

    Hi Caitlin,

Try a guacamole mix if you’re unfamiliar with making it. There are lots of good ones out there. you can keep it fresh for more than a day by putting a layer of lemon juice over the top, then putting plastic wrap right against the top of all this, making it as airtight as possible. You can keep fresh made guacamole from turning brown before serving by placing the pit in it. You can also freeze it on a cookie sheet in 1 block amounts. Once frozen, remove form the cookie sheet and store in an airtight bag in the freezer.
