Iced tea is an excellent summertime beverage for the Zone. There is an endless variety of tea available these days, just about every kind you can imagine. Iced green tea and also iced mint teas are my favorites. I drink a lot of green tea. During this week's heat wave I've been enjoying Trader Joe's Blueberry and Pomegranate Green Tea (bottled in glass and it's unsweetened). I keep it in the fridge so it's chilled and ready, no ice needed. It's loaded with polyphenols.

What are some of your favorite iced teas?

I like Raspberry Zinger tea in the summer. Just toss a the right amount of teabags into the pitcher, add water, put in fridge to chill it.
I also like to make my own mint tea since my husband did not follow my advice about only growing mint in a container, we have a small field of it
growing in the back yard. Just steep crushed leaves in water, chill, add some lemon to taste, yummy and refreshing.

I like chilled Red Zinger too. I hear you about growing mint, It spreads and it takes over everything. But it's so delicious, both for savory anddessert dishes. I love it in tzatziki. Did you happen to see the minted fruit salad I mentioned in the June Zone EZine story? It was delicious. :)
