I read the Zone book years ago and read the second one (Mastering the Zone?)like 3 years ago. I like what they have to say and can appreciate it, I SHOULD get with the program. But alas, I am lacking motivation. Untill now.
Yesterday the Dr said it looks like my son Zack has Chrones. I have yet to see the pics but based on what the Dr saw, that's what he said and I was told. We are waiting on the biopsy results as of now. In the mean time I am looking into any information on the disease and how to keep it at bay since we are told there is no cure. Zack will need to be under a SPECIAL diet so I am thinking that the Zone has to be a good, if not the best, diet for him... us if I am to practice what I preach to a 16 yr old.
Anyway, I am going by the name blugene and hope to get into the Zone real soon.

It would be good to read most recent Zone book, TOXIC FAT. It gives the most up to date picture of how the Zone addresses chronic inflammatory diseases.

Hi Gene, I had an IBD not crohn's but colitis and the Zone "cured" me. It's important to remember the Zone Diet is an anti-inflammatory way of life and beneficial in so many ways. I believe your son could be helped in a huge way, and you too. You can ask any questions here. Go for it.
