I think the question is not why we have to login, but why we have to login so often.  Other forums allow you to login one time for months at a time, or, at the very least, once every two weeks.

I have not had this problem.  I generally can log in once, and as long as I keep my session refreshed, I stay logged in.  Only when I exit my internet session and re-enter does it ask me to log in again.

When i close my browser, which might be several times per day, and then re-open it to the saved tabs - I am still logged in. Sometimes, I will inadvertently go to another website from the Forums tab, instead of opening anew tab. When i come back to the forums,i am still logged in. Very rarely, do I find the forums logging me out.
    .
It has happened a few times, but I think if I remove the tab and close the browser, then, I might be logged out, but not always. Only, if I do a complete monthly system clean of junk using CCleaner, Spybot, SpyWare Blaster, Glary's Reg Cleaner, etc. Then, maybe, cookies are deleted and I have to re-log-into the web site.

When I close my browser or my laptop, I am logged out. This is the only website that does that, so I don't know what to do differently.

It sounds like some of us are experiencing technical issues that others are not experiencing. Although not related, I am having problems with posting when I am on my personal laptop, paragraphs run together without separation. I have not ever had problems like this on other forums, and this seems to be a fairly new problem, since I had been able to post just fine a few months ago from the same computer. I really think someone from tech support should chime in... I asked for that in another thread, as well... but no response.
