I am confused as to how we can contact other members. I can see that the person I'd like to talk to is online, but uh, how do I email or IM them? (Yeah, I feel like a dolt not being able to find that feature.)

Currently there is not an option to contact other members. However, we have been preparing for a major upgrade to our website and forums for some time now that will provide some interesting features. Look for a change in the upcoming weeks.
