New to the Zone.... Im currently eating 13 blocks and I understand that I can break them up how I want to throughout the day. My question is, Is there a time frame that I should finish each meal in? For instance, I eat my breakfast while getting ready for work, taking care of my dog, doing a few chores etc., and I would estimate that it probably takes me about 30 min to finish my whole 3 block breakfast. Is this ok? Does it matter that I eat the protein and then maybe 20 min later my carbs and fat? Or should I be committing to getting the entire 3 blocks in at the same time? Same goes for my 2 block snacks if I get distracted or busy at work. Any info/advice would be great! Thx!

If I recall properly, I think Dr. Sears recommends eating a meal within 45 minutes.
    So, you should be fine.

I don't know specifically where it is written, but I have seen that same 45 minutes posted before when this question has come up.

It is probably beneficial to eat the protein and/or the fat first, then eat the carbs afterwards. If you eat the carbs first, and there is a prolonged amount of time before you eat the rest of your meal, the carbs may break down and start hitting you without the buffer that you get from the protein and the fat.
