I've been generally following the zone way of eating since 2007. I was really preaching the zone message back then to my family and friends - I still do at times. I read the first book written for physicians and got a good understanding about eicosanoids, etc. I'm a believer and I think Dr. Sears' research is among the best available.
Today is the first day in quite a while that I've perused the website. Lots of changes, I see - such as all these carb-looking food products that are infused with protein, etc. Interesting. (I still aim for filling my plate with one-third lean protein and two-thirds complex carbs with a dose of the "good" fat thrown in. (I noticed today the fat "dose" has increased.) I was looking at the ingredients for the pizza crust and noticed that it's pretty high in saturated fat. This really surprised me. Does anyone know what's up with that?

Mary, welcome back to the Zone!

I don't use the products, I am also a firm believer in the "classic" ZONE. If you have questions about the foods, I think your best source of information is by calling the customer service number. I haven't changed much in terms of what I am eating, the fat "dose" hasn't changed, but maybe some of the products have a little more than what the "balance" is... IDK!

My goal is to eat whole foods in the Zone. I try to steer away from processed foods. I am not always successful and would not say that I am 100% at that, but I definitely work to keep processed foods to a minimum.
