I just deleted a long tirade about how no one could answer my question (re: lightheadedness)....but lo and behold!, a professional in customer service (after getting handed off to a higher up ) finally took me seriously and didn't say "stop taking the oil"....which....seems strange after they are the ones who sold it to me.....
sooooo, I am trying one cap every other day for now, plus oatmeal a couple times a week, and we shall see. Feeling supported.

    Hi janet!

You might want to stop taking it for a week or two and then resume at a capsule every other day or every third day. That was Dr. Sears advice to me when I had the same symptoms, and it worked very well.

You're welcome, and please keep us updated! BTW, my dose changes of the past month are still not where they need to be, and I'm not quite sure where to go with it next. I'll keep ou updated too.

Sue, maybe you need to take another lab test.

CC, apparently you have not had any issues with fish oil, plus you have always had normal BP, right?

My BP has always been on the low end of normal, and fish oil hasn't caused it to be any lower. Can't say that I haven't had issues with it, but the issue have been more along the lines of gastric distress.

Just suggesting to Sue that perhaps a SIP blood test might help to guide her with her FO dose. Maybe it would help you, too?

It is kind of "cost-prohibitive", but I know that Sue highly advocates for it. I have never done the test, myself. I can't afford it.

I am making an attempt to understand the science so I can have more control. The guy on the line said something about insulin, GLA, etc.......in other words, I want to understand why I'm getting the lightheadedness. I am suspecting it has been swinging from bad to good eicosanoids....by the ....whatdyacallit?....ESR? Which makes me wonder if my diet is having that effect....(I really don;t eat transfats, junk food, etc......but sometimes extra carbs...)...oh well, could take a lifetime to figure it all out...I don
't even think Barry Sears has it all figured out..yet!.

I'm new and have a question about the correct time to take the 4 pills each day. The Zone bottle says - "Take 4 before a meal." So, am I suppose to take all 4 at once before breakfast (or another meal) each day or take one before each of 4 separate meals in a day? Thank you.

Patricia, they're take all at once, with any meal you choose. Dr. Sears had recommended trying them with dinner because they can help stave off the munchies in the evening. I take fish oil with breakfast because I find I don't sleep well when I take it later that 5 PM.
