Hello all!!
I am coming home to the zone starting tomorrow!!
Gained too much weight.
The biggest obstacle I find with recipies is converting the appropriate blocks.
Most recipies are 4 blocks.
How do you make the recipie for 3 blocks?
There must be an easy way.
I tend to stay away from the 4 block recipies (which are usually better) b/c I have no clue how to scale them down appropriately. Any suggestions would be most welcome.
Thanks

Hi Kelly
Converting is easy. To calculate for a 3 block meal - divide all the ingredients by 4 then multiply by 3. Or you could make the 4 block recipe - eat the the equivalent of 3 blocks (eyeball) and have the 1 block that is leftover as a snack. Or you could have 2x2 block meals.

Thanks for your reply.
What if the recipies don't include the calories? They seem not to.
They usually just list the ingredients.

Hi Kelly
I wasnt meaning calories. I am talking about ingredients. If the recipe asks for 4 (1 ounce scoops of protein powder) you would put 3 (1 ounce scoops), 4 whole eggs would be 3 whole eggs, 2 teaspoons of vanilla extract would be 1.5 teaspoons etc. You just divide everything by 4 and then multiply by 3 to get the 3 block ingredients.

You can also halve the recipe so that it is 2 blocks, and then drink a cup of milk for the 3rd block.
If liquid carbs don't do the trick, then you could still halve the recipe to 2 blocks, then adjust it a bit by adding in the extra block of protein and fat by increasing the protein portion and the fat portion. You can also do this with the carbs, but with multiple ingredients, it might be confusing, and it might just be easier to add a block of fruit to eat on the side.
If you have any specific recipes in mind, please post and I can help!
