hi everybody!*

Is it okay to eat 25% of a zone meal or snack in unfavourable carb?
I don't have to lose weight and just want to keep the weight that I have right now, so would it be okay to eat most of my 3bl.meals like:
2 1/2 favourable carb blocks and 1/2 block of unfavourable carbs added with "good" proteins and fat?

Hi laetitia!

That should be fine. Judge if it works for you by how you feel 4 hours after a meal, or 2 hours after a snack.

Hi, Laetitia!

Yes, I agree that it is ok to eat 25% unfavorable. Barry Sears recommends no more than 25% of unfavorable carb per meal.

And, make sure you test it out. Some unfavorable carbs seem to work better than others. But, it is an individual response.

hi!*
these are great news! thank you =)
but would you think that it would be very bad for my insuin level and my body if I'd eat 3-5 snacks or meals per week with whole unfavourable zoned meals? Like a toast with salmon, or an ice cream with nonfat cottage cheese, or zoned spaghetti with meatsauce...
I feel much better if I eat like this, but I'm a little afraid, that it could be bad for my body...
but I'm still a teenager of 14 years, I just want to keep my weight and enjoy sweets always IN the zone...
d'you have any ideas how it would influence my zone life ^^ ?

Well, my opinion is that you should stick with no more than 25% of your carbs as unfavorable ones. However, sometimes that is hard to do with a snack. Perhaps, you can keep your meals to the 25% rule? Then, you can experiment with your snacks. If you find that you are not getting good results with your unfavorable snacks, then switch back, and just don't have those unfavorable ones as often.

The main thing is, that I want to eat 1 whole block in unfavourable carbs 3-5times a week. 'Cause always just 1/2 a toast or something like that is very sad...haha*
But I've got a new way of thinking:
-maybe it's even better to eat one block of unfavourable carbs in a 3block meal.
-Or is it still better to eat the whole 1bl snack with unfav carbs?

I feel good both ways, the only question for me is:
what would be healthier for my body or what would keep me better in the zone?

what's your oppinion?
