Pretty much all of it! Getting to challenge myself every day to accomplish new things...the journey toward a goal...being fit and healthy...it’s all great.

Angry drivers.
Biggest Challenge Overcome:
Injuries are always a difficult part of being an athlete. You do everything you can to prevent them, but they happen sometimes and it’s tough to have to take it easy to rehabilitate an injury when you are used to going 110% all the time.
Competition Rituals:
Nothing really. I do enjoy a nice pancake breakfast the day before a big race.

Ironman Hawaii!!
Hobbies:
Spending quiet nights on the couch, watching a good movie with my husband. I also love my dog. She’s just about the cutest thing ever. I love taking her to the beach to go swimming.
One Fact No One Knows About You:
Before I changed my name after I got married, my middle name was Bacon. I took a heap of crap for it as a kid, so after awhile, I refused to tell anyone what it was.
If You Weren’t An Athlete, You would Be:
Still trading stocks. I worked as a trader on Wall Street for 7 years before quitting my job to race professionally.
Average Day Consists Of:
The usual! Swim, bike, run, strength & flexibility work. Never enough time for a good nap! And maybe a trip to the dog park at night.

There are so many worthwhile ones out there, it’s hard to choose a “favorite”, but I do a lot of work with www.swimacrossamerica.org
Favorite Zone Food / Flavor:
Roasted Peanut bars. It was the “original” bar. I’m old school!!
