It's always been a challenge to get children to eat tofu. I tried alot of different ways but had no luck until I disguised it in a marinara sauce and blended in other protein such as beef or chicken. Much to my surprise it worked and now they love it!!!
4 Block meal
4 oz. thinly sliced extra-firm tofu
2 oz. of either beef, chicken, or turkey (sliced thin for sauteing)
1½ tsp. olive oil
1 garlic clove - diced
1 cup kitchen ready tomato sauce
1 cup string beans
½ cup of sliced onion
Salt/Pepper to taste
Small garden salad with ½ cup chick peas to balance blocks
Heat olive oil in medium saute pan. Add garlic, tofu, and sliced turkey tenderloin or beef. Brown everything then add tomato sauce, string beans, and onion. Cook for 15 minutes. Add salt + pepper to taste.
