Crab Bisque

Dorsey writes: According to my calculations this recipe is equal to 3 protein blocks, 2 fat blocks and maybe 1/2 carb. block. I am brand new at this so I am eager to hear how I did in creating this recipe. Editor's note: You did very well, except the carb count is actually 2, (remember milk contains both protein and carbohydrate blocks) which means there?s still room for 1 block of vegetables or fruit for dessert if you?re creating a three-block meal. Either add 1/3 teaspoon to the olive oil or sprinkle slivered almonds on the vegetables or even the soup.

Ingredients:
1/4 cup chopped onion
2/3 tsp olive oil
1 c. skim or 1% milk
1 tsp. cornstarch
3 oz. crab or imitation crab (other fish or seafood may be used)
1/8 tsp. pepper
Salt to taste

Instructions:
Saute onion in olive oil till soft and translucent. Mix cornstarch in cold milk then add to onion. Heat and stir until thickened slightly. Add salt & pepper. Stir in crab and heat through. Additional tip: After the Crab Bisque recipe was posted, we received this note from Bonnie: "We tried making it with salmon and added about 1/8 tsp of saffron. It was SOOO good."
