Dede Griesbauer Wins the 2009 Ironman Brazil

Dedicated Zoner Dede Griesbauer dominated the elite international field of pro triathletes at the 2009 Ironman Brazil with stunning bike time to take the championship.

“Ironman Brazil was my first major event since partnering with the Zone earlier this year. Following the principles of the Zone Diet in my day-to-day nutrition, the results were clear: An eight-hour Ironman PR, and a second Ironman title. I knew my training had been solid, I recovered well training session to training session, and I am stronger and leaner than ever before,” she said.

This is Dede’s second journey into the Zone. She worked with Dr. Sears in 1991 while she was champion swimmer for the Stanford Swim Team. She went on to get her MBA at Wharton Business School and was a trader on Wall Street for seven years.

She quit, became a full-time runner and reentered the Zone.

We look forward to many more successes with Dede.
