Next Zone Cruise goes to Western Caribbean

Dr. Sears’ 2010 Zone Cruise will explore the emerging science of epigenetics, the way that external factors, especially diet, can alter gene expression. The implications for the treatment of obesity and for changing the way our mind perceives the world around us are profound.

The cruise will travel from Fort Lauderdale to the Western Caribbean aboard Holland America’s beautiful ms Westerdam March 14-21, 2010. Zone cruisers will embark from Fort Lauderdale and travel to Half Moon Cay, Grand Turk, Grand Cayman and Cozumel.

Participants will learn that if they are fat, it’s not their fault. No one wants to become fat. No one wants to become depressed or constantly angry. It’s all in our genes. We can’t change our genes, but we can change the expression of our genes through the food that we eat. We have the ability with the right diet to silence the genes that turn on inflammation. All we need is the knowledge and the right dietary tools to take control of our future.

First-time Zone Cruisers will learn how easy it is to follow the anti-inflammatory Zone Diet because all the meals are being prepared for them as them learn how to overcome the dietary challenges they’ll confront once they leave the ship. Experienced Zoners will discover new cutting-edge science on how the Zone Diet affects the brain function that ultimately controls not only our appetite, but also our perception of the world.

Besides power-packed seminars, the Zone Cruise features the Zone Drop-in Centers, a product gift pack, a cocktail reception, consultations and photo sessions.
