any updates?

I posted this question a few weeks ago, and it seems as if the thread has been deleted, as I don't see it at all, so will start again...

I recall watching some reruns of 1/2 Ton Man on TLC a few weeks ago, and it caused me to wonder if there were any updates on Manuel Uribe? Seems a shame to have an entire topic devoted to him, yet no regular updates are being posted.

This message is for SUE K the best ZONER in the world ,
After 5 years of not being on the zone ,i am now back again, the reason i went off the zone was because my new husband said i did not eat enough,although i had lost over 70lbs befor i met him and had enjoyed being in the ZONE.I had never felt better in all my life.
So here i am today to let you know that i am now back with avengance.I have put on well over 70lbs,have had high cholestrol, blood pressure, hardly able to breath properly when out walking and i love to go out walking, could not even bend properly,because i have so much weight.
So now just 3 weeks later from starting the zone again , i am starting to feel good again,my cholestrol is back to normal, blood presure almost back to normal, can bend again ,and i can walk a lot better,
So the moral of my little story is ,YES for all those doubters out there ,THE ZONE DOES WORK ,but you have to follow the rules and dont let anyone put you off, i wish i had had the guts to tell my husband leave me be and let my body tell me whats good for it ,
anyway sue you will of course hear from me again, and i still love the zone pasta with peanut butter,(although i have none left,so can i use normal pasta ? ) )its one of the first recipes you gave me when the pasta first came to the zone !

I was just looking on AOL and there was a story about a 700 pound man. Of course, it turned out to be Manuel Uribe. He took a trip to the lake with his girlfriend. They had to use a forklift to put him on a truck.

How much weight did he lose exactly?

On a doco I saw tonight it said he lost 180kg in just under a year, and other stuff i read said it was over a period of 2yrs... which is it? And was the diet changed at all to specifically cater to him? That's nearly 4kg a week isn't it?

I just saw that TLC has two shows on this Sunday (8/31/08) about Manuel Uribe. The first one airs at 8PM, the second one immediately follows at 9 PM.

Has everyone seen all the new info on Manuel's page of this site? There are photos, videos, weight loss stats and even his daily menu. He is certainly an inspiration to all! Like Dr. Sears says in one of those videos, if he can do it you can do it!

Did anyone besides me see the ABC show "The Outsiders" last night? The second half of last night's show was a piece by John Quinones about Manuel Uribe. Among other things, they showed his recent outing and also showed him passing on the birthday cake at his girlfriend's birthday party. Go Manuel! You can do it!
