I eat alot of vegetables and drink alot of water. I wonder if I can reduce the amount of water because of the amount of water in the vegetables.

I drink about 170oz water a day and I feel its to much since I started eating all these vegetables that I think contains about 100oz.

How much water do I at least need a day for keep my weight loss going? (I'm training alot)

And can I count out the water in the vegetables?

Thanks!

Hi!

I've never seen it advised to count the water occurring in veggies as part of your daily water intake.

I'm new to the zone. However, I have been doing the lots of veggies, water, and hard training for a long time. Usually, the water in the vegetables is not enough to count. The general rule for water consumption is that you should never be thirsty and always have clear urine. This means not waiting until you are thirsty to drink, which is where most people mess up. For most people a gallon of water a day is plenty (128 oz). Very strenous training will require much more water than the normal person needs. When I was in the military, I would go thru several gallons a day sometimes. If it feels like you are consuming too much water, try cutting down a bit until you reach the right level. It is very possible to overhydrate when training and flush your body of the electrolytes it needs to function properly.

I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. And I will not let what I cannot do interfere with what I can do.

Ok thanks!

I will keep on drinking my water as usual...

I like drinking water its only that I think maybe it makes my weight go up and down alot and its hard to see how much weight Im actually losing.

Is that true? Can water change my weight a lot from day to day? I'm talking about 1-3lbs per day?

P.S. On drinking water, the 8 8oz glasses per day is a guide. I often drink more, myself. I've seen (and I forget where) that 1/2 your weight in oz of water is a more accurate minimum.

So, for example, I weigh 174 lbs. I would need to drink at least 87 oz of water per day, or about 11 8oz glasses - which is closer to what I actually drink.

It just seems to make sense to me that the amount required would be in ratio to one's size.
