HI EVERYONE, today is my first day on the program after reading as much as I could about it. I do have a question. For bkfst I had 1/2 cup liquid egg mixture, 1 ounce Canadian bacon, 1 tsp olive oil, 12 grapes and 1 cup cantoulope. I almost needed someone to roll me off the chair. I was just sooo full. Did I compute this correctly? I needed 3 blocks. It just seems that I computed too much food for one meal. Can you give me your opinion ? Thank you. PATTI

It seems like a lot when we sit down to our 1st full brk. but it is the right amount! It will hold you till lunch! Good job! Sounds like you have done your homework!

I do take a multiple, plus fishoil. It may seem like a lot if you're not used to a big brkfst...it may not seem like so much when it comes to the other meals....but to some, it may...the more veggies you eat, the more volume it is.

Can a meal be split up without losing its effect, such as 2 PFC's at breakfast and 1 PFC later on in the morning, etc.?

Yes, but the fewer blocks you eat the less time in the Zone you will get from the meal (a 2 block meal won't last as long as a 3 or 4 block meal). Some people eat 6 or 7 2-block meals spread throughout the day. It really depends on what works bestfor you. |

You're correct. I tried a two-block meal today for lunch and I was starving before three hours were up. I'll stick with the original plan.
