I was wondering if there is an official Zone Food Diary available, and if so, does it have an explanation and list of Zone Food Blocks? I think it would sure make it easier to keep track of the Zone way of eating on a daily basis.

As far as I know, there isn't an official Zone diary. Having a zone diary would be nice to have. However, I was in Barnes and Noble the other day, and I saw a blue Wellness Diet Journal. It should be in the same section as the Zone Books that you may want to try.

You never know though. Dr. Sears may be coming up with it to put in one of his new books.

Use Little Black Book-Daily Food Diary as a food journal because it fits in your purse and you will have it everywhere. It is only $20 to track 3 months and they sell re-fills or a one year for $29.99.

Actually - there IS such a journal - or something that will work like one :

It's called the Zone RX Success Journal

It is for the purpose of tracking your diet and other related factors on a daily basis.

I found it through a forum and someone emailed it to me. No one seems to be aware of a place on the website to download it.

email me and I'll send it back as an attachment - it's a PDF document.

Hi E. Wally,
I am new to the Zone. In fact, I am starting tomorrow as I just found this site tonight. I was wondering if you would mind sending me th Zone RX Success Journal as I would like to start right. Keeping track of things seems to work better for me. I am 53 and a diabetic so this seems ideal to me. Wish me luck and thank you.

E Wally is right, there is a Zone Success journal, although I don't know how to find it, either! It was in one of my shipments about a year ago, and I had a link to it at one time. But, I don't think I have it anymore.

I use a spreadsheet that I designed myself. The spreadsheet is set up so that I can enter the number of blocks for each ingredient in my meal, and it will calculat the meal's block total as well as the day's block total.

I had made some revisions to it, but then lost my data on my hard drive. So, have to get some time to tinker with it again!

If you're interested in the Zone food journal all you'll need to do is go to the "live chat" feature at the top of the page. Ask for the journal and the chat person will email it to you. :)

Ok Everyone, go to the Quick Start Guide, the link for that is on the right side of this page in the green box. Once you get there, there's a bunch of tabs on the quick start guide. You want to click on the last one, marked Zone Success Journal. And there it will be!!! 2 PDF's The top one is a sample, you want to open the second one. I found that one on my first day!!! Enjoy!

The only problem with that is, as of 6-20-2009, both PDF links went to the SAMPLE journal. I'm looking for an online one though, I think I'll end up making my own spreadsheet. =)

Both the sample page and the personal journal page PDF's feature journals that have already been filled in. Could you either correct that on-line or e-mail me the PDF with the blank page? Thank you

As of Tuesday, 19 Jan 2010 at 1455 hours (2:55 PM), I clicked on the BLANK PDF file, downloaded it, and opened it. It is blank. The link is working correctly.

To do it electronically, you could recreate it in a spreadsheet program.

I put together a MS Excel version (both xlsx and xls {new and old formats}) as an electronic version. I also have it as 7 workbooks (Day 1 through Day 7), so you would have one file for each week instead of one file for each day. E-Mail me if you want a copy (jaydpiii at yahoo dot com).

I just clicked on it, and it's blank for me too, ready to be filled in; "Your Zone Journal" in The Zone Quick Start Guide (link at right).
