I haven't found either black-eyed peas or butter beans on the food list. Can you advise how much would equal 1 block for each of them? I'm assuming it might be something similar to peas, but I'm just guessing. Thank you!

You will probably go with either 1/4-1/3 cup serving size for most items that fit into the "legumes" category.

You have to kind of be flexible in your searches.
All depends on how items are loaded in various databases.

Based on Black beans (Favorable) being 1/4 cup for 1 block,
CC was correct in estimating amounts.

(Black-eyed peas)
Cowpeas (Blackeyes) - .33 cup:

Component - Calories - Grams - Blocks
Total Calories - 43 - 0.5 - NA
Fat - 2 - 0.2 - 0.1
Carbohydrates - 36 - 9.0 - 1.0
Protein - 6 - 1.4 - 0.2

(Butter Beans), (Lima Beans),
Beans, Lima, Canned - .25 cup:

Component - Calories - Grams - Blocks
Total Calories - 44 - 0.5 - N/A
Fat - 2 - 0.2 - 0.1
Carbohydrates - 32 - 8.1 - 0.9
Protein - 10 - 2.5 - 0.4

Thanks, John!

LOL, I was thinking that cowpeas and black-eyed peas were the same thing, but I was not ready to go out on a limb on that!

I also didn't know that lima beans were the same as butter beans! I always wondered what butter beans were, but never really knew. Guess I can still learn something new every day!
