I am new to the zone and decided to try a recipe that I found on this web site. However I am a little confused because the recipe contains one cup of corn. The problem I have is that I thought corn is one of the vegetables that I shouldn't eat.

Hi sonia!

Corn is an unfavorable carb. The Zone rule is to have no more the 25% of all the carb in a meal from unfavorable carbs.

I just took a look at that recipe. It contains 1 cup of corn, which is 4 C blocks and the recipe makes four 4 block meals. That amount corn is 25% of all the C, so it is acceptable.

You'd eat 2 stuffed pepper halves for a 4 block meal, or 1 1/2 stuffed pepper halves for a 3 block meal.
