Hi!

Someone here recently asked me a qn about the seaweed in my seaweed salad photo (maybe it was Cici, dee, or ?). I've been meaning to reply but I lost track of that post. It's a salad I purchase already made at Whole Foods. It's one of their regular lunch selections, and contains seaweed, sesame seeds, sesame oil, and fresh grated ginger. Maybe a little garlic, too, but not sure. :)

Hi Sue, it was me. Thank you for remembering. When we sold our house 1 1/2 years ago, I SWORE I would only move somewhere where there was a whole foods handy. Alas, I failed at that. But when I'm on the road, it is always a must-stop. I love going to San Francisco, using Priceline for a fancy room (super cheap) then get take out from Whole Foods.

BTW, I'm doing well on fewer carbs. I've actually upped the fat a couple blocks a day, and I'll watch that for a week or two. I know I feel great with extra - and that's what it is all about. Still steady loss of an ounce or three a day - I never feel like an afternoon power nap anymore, and I'm thrilled to be a convert to a new way of eating.

You have been very helpful - and sometimes I do have other questions, but I see you in the forum bouncing around helping lots of people and I just know you must be a special person. I'll try not to bug you too much but keep you up to date more or less on my progress.

Hi dee,

We had no Whole Foods closer than a couple hours drive from here until about a year ago. Now we have 3 of them plus a Trader Joe's, all only 1/2 hour away! (and I still wish they were closer!)


Great news that your carb adjustment is working. Yeah!

Lucky you. I have a Trader Joe's less than 4 blocks. I can ride my bike. But the real joy of living here on the central coast are the daily farmers markets. there is one somewhere close, in different towns every single day. That is a good thing.
